Gate Comments
At the time of the site visit (12/18/2015) the tide gate had been removed and flow through the culvert was unobstructed. A cast iron frame was observed at the downstream end of the culvert where the tide gate used to be installed. A 1 foot section at the top of the frame was missing and appeared to have broken off. Based on historical information, the tide gate used to be a metal flap gate.
Elevation Comments
Invert elevation and extent of upstream and downstream tidal influence were not assessed as the tide gate had been removed.
